Claire Cushnahan
Finance Director
After graduating from the University of Manchester, Claire qualified as a Chartered Accountant before joining iSOFT PLC, working to strengthen their finance function ahead of a successful £123 million flotation.
The business continued to flourish, and by the time of her departure Claire held the role of European CFO, running the commercial finance function of the now FTSE 100 business, as well as overseeing all HR and training functions for the business.
Claire subsequently accepted a role at Acuity Coaching, with the specific brief of structuring the company for growth and building its financial and commercial operations to provide the best management information and market responsiveness possible.
Claire now lends that same skill for financial management and eye for detail to her role with Clique Energy, managing the financial side of the business as well as lending her considerable expertise to help to assess and deliver the best financial packages and commercial agreements to our clients.
Luca McCarthy
Office Manager
Luca has a background in BTEC Information Technology and Business which is a testament to his versatility and forward-thinking approach to management. Luca’s unique blend of skills enables him to streamline office operations, enhance communication systems, and implement effective IT solutions, all while keeping sustainability and innovation at the core of his strategies. His expertise in IT and business makes him an invaluable asset in driving the company’s mission forward, ensuring that internal processes are as green and efficient as the energy solutions Clique advocate for.

Our Electrical Engineer, Carl, boasts an impressive professional journey spanning over four decades. Throughout his career, Carl has cultivated a diverse skill set by engaging in a broad spectrum of projects within the realms of domestic, commercial, and industrial Electrical Engineering. Carl revolves around the core principles of commitment, reliability, and the delivery of professional craftsmanship. Carl places a strong emphasis on the importance of quality services, which he views as essential for ensuring customer satisfaction.
In addition to his extensive experience, Carl is thoroughly trained, qualified, and certified in several cutting-edge areas of Electrical Engineering. He has acquired expertise in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging systems, Solar energy solutions, and battery storage technologies, which are critical for advancing sustainable energy practices. Furthermore, Carl possesses a deep knowledge in testing and inspection protocols, ensuring that all projects not only meet but exceed safety and efficiency standards.

We were cautious when selecting our preferred contractor for this, especially as there are so many “cowboys” out there. Not only was everything done on time and within budget, you also worked around our office hours to ensure there was minimal disruption to our day to day business.

“We had Clique Energy carry out an energy audit on our site, in 2018 to help us determine where and how we could reduce our carbon impact and operational costs.
Tom & Phil presented their audit and throughout this demonstrated an extensive knowledge of the energy sector and the cost reduction products available. We were offered several options and able to choose the technology which best suited our company’s energy strategy.
Once we had decided on the technology Clique Energy project managed the whole process on our behalf from Purchase Order through to commissioning and handing the site back.The timings of the site shut down, which were agreed in a pre-site meeting, were met and the site was handed back on time. The installation work was carried out in a professional and always structured manner whilst always working safely. Everything went smoothly, and the site was left as they found it.
We are now benefiting from this technology which is achieving an average 8.7%, which is a better saving than was initially projected. Since its installation, at the start of this year we have saved so far 90.59 tonnes of Carbon.
We will continue use the services offered by Clique Energy and would confidently recommend choosing them to achieve carbon and cost saving targets in the future.”
